The Drive!
That Never Ends....
We started out early the morning of July 31st. We pulled out of Draper, Utah at about 8am which is a bit later than we want to. But we figured that a little more sleep before we drove for 10 hours was a good idea. Leaving our family crying in the driveway was hard, but we know that they are happy we are moving on with our lives and getting to the next stage.
After driving through the mountains, which took longer than we thought it would because the poor truck didn't like the ups and downs and hair pin turns of the mountain. We entered WYOMING! Which thankfully is a bit more flat!
We stopped for gas for the truck in Evanston and then minus a few pit stops for the baby and me and stopping for lunch, we made pretty good time to Cheyenne. We drove right through Cheyenne because we needed to make it to Ogallala Nebraska in time to set up camp and get some sleep!
We had decided to spend our first night camping to save money! It was actually really fun and didn't take as long as we thought it would to set up and then take down. Although we had Taco Bell which scared Drew that he might end up sleeping in the car. Thankfully there was no problem and we got a good nights rest!
